PRESENTERS: Nancy Gonzalez, Leah Price, and Mitzi Swiatkowski LOCATION: Over Zoom DESCRIPTION: Will share information and strategies for supporting English Learners/Multilingual Learners in early childhood classrooms, including effective classroom practices and steps to take if there are concerns about a student's progress. With increased numbers of EL/MLs enrolling (including Newcomers), districts have had multiple students concerns related to students who are in the age group of preschool students - K. Session will provide strategies to promote language acquisition, collect data other other relevant info that would support the student, family, school and the BOCES team.

PRESENTERS: Megan Bashioum, School Psychologist and Leah Price, SPED Coordinator/School Psychologist LOCATION: Over Zoom DESCRIPTION: This session will analyze cognitive assessments results, and how these results impact students in the school setting and can be utilized to guide professionals in decision making which aligns with instructional strategies. This training meets the requirements for special education and behavioral health licensure. A $25 stipend will be paid in May for all attendees of this session. You must complete the required steps to be eligible to receive a stipend.
