PRESENTER: Catapult Learning LOCATION: East Central BOCES West Training Room DESCRIPTION: Join us for a full-day professional development training from 9 AM to 3 PM, with a stipend and lunch included. This session will explore the Science of Reading for K-5 educators, providing research-based strategies to improve reading and writing instruction. Participants will examine evidence-based practices aligned with the Academic Content Standards and the National Reading Panel’s five key components of literacy: phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, vocabulary development, fluency, and comprehension. Through this interactive workshop, educators will gain practical strategies for supporting a diverse range of learners, including emerging readers and writers, as well as gifted students. This training is designed to prepare teachers with the tools and techniques needed to enhance literacy instruction and boost student outcomes.
